5 things you can focus on to encourage engagement 👇

💡Know your audience inside-out
Your ideal customers literally hold the key to better content. When you understand what they care about, what problems they face, and what grabs their attention, you can create content that feels like it was made just for them (because it was!).

💡Make it about them, not you
One of the biggest engagement killers? Talking at your audience, instead of with them. Shift your mindset from “what do I want to say?” to “what do they want to hear/know/feel?” That one change can make a huge difference.

💡Ask for engagement—literally
Want more comments? Ask for them! Invite your audience to share their thoughts, opinions, or experiences in the caption. A simple “Which one speaks to you?” or “Have you felt this too?” can open the door to real conversation.

💡Time it right
Sharing great content when your audience is offline means it could get buried. Post when your followers are likely to be scrolling: early morning, lunchtime, or early evening tend to work well for many small business audiences.

💡Be sociable - if you’d like engagement you might need to make the first move! Don’t just post & run but share comments on other’s accounts.
